very decent, but feel like the instrumentals and lyrics sometimes just drag on. could've been a more precise EP.
favourite track: Night on The Town
least favourite: Melancholy Hopeful
shit has you elevating no matter how coherent or incoherent it sounds.
favourite track: international
least favourite: To All the Dancers of the World, A Round Form of Fantasy - i still love this track a lot, it's just that it is a little less upbeat than the rest.
painfully mediocre, vocals are way too forced
favourite track: Mirror Mirror
call me preformative or whatever idc, this is just so good. laufey i love u. the new tracks are decent, but would've liked for them to be more out-there.
favourite track: sabotage - this is what i would have liked for some of the newer tracks to be like, obv not completely the same, but to just have that creativity in them
least favourite: I Wait, I Wait, I Wait
honourable mention: Madwoman - the best out of the new tracks, the rest just have this real drop in energy I feel
pretty decent mixtape, good vocals but feel the tracks all sound tpo feel a little similar towards the end.
favourite track: frank ocean
least favourite: canary
kinda boring but i appreciate the style either way, found The Radiator to be the better track out of the two
man this would be so much better if it were not for some of the bloat, i really love the vocals on the tracks so the instrumentals seem really pale in comparison.
favourite track: skidmark boogie
least favourite: something french
really boring beat, and there is not attempt to have the vocals match the progression of the track either. lyrics are shallow too.
some of the greatest production i have ever heard, ever. i just find it insane how someone could construct all of this. and the features are insane as well, deserve more credit.
favourite track: Lady Brown feat. Cise Starr
least favourite: Peaceland
really like the feel of this project, and how it isn't afraid to rough up for lengthy periods of time. after a while it all sort of starts of make sense.
favourite track: IZ-US
least favourite: To Cure a Weakling Child
okay Film is really good but i want to be different so i didn't put it as my favourite
decent, suffers from having some quite boring and similar sounding tracks in my opinion. the mixing is also odd. i get its supposed to be a shoegaze-ish sort of album but the lyrics are a bit too muffled at times. either way a fun listen.
favourite track: Dead forever
least favourite: Believe
i did NOT find this album to be a psychedelic one as much as i found it to more noise-pop orientated. and i feel like the artist themselves sort of struggled to have a proper identity for this album. the first half really sounds repetitive at times, and its almost like it's trying to cause a "mind fuck" by brute forcing your mind with as much noise as possible.
the second half did sound far better, and had a more consistent sound in between all of them.

this is exactly what i imagine when i think of electropop. is it sorta boring towards the end though? yes, but it still manages to carry its energy well enough throughout the tracks. however beyond that, it does lack any deeper features for me to push this into the 90s. still really good regardless.
edit: i was stupid, this shit sounds way too good. changing the rating to a 92
favourite track: AMERICAN GIRL
least favourite: IT'S NOT LIKE THAT ANYMORE
really fun short album, the prods and vocals combine really well
favourite track: walk out
least favourite: your life
every song sounds so similar and boring, just don't find a reason behind anything in this album
favourite track: paris hilton
least favourite: halftime
yeah no. this is just not it. talk about repetitiveness. it just feels like they're doing something different just for the sake of being different, and in being so it just sounds so incredibly boring.
favourite track: Fabienk
least favourite: literally anything else
though the production on this mixtape is incredible, i find it pale in comparison to the words used by Mays throughout it. i haven't seen an artist explain a feeling as well as this ever.
underneath the vaporwave aesthetics is an emotional telling of the feeling and effects of pleasure. the constant critique and fight against hedonistic ways of livings, before his own ascension into a superior form of living in the last track through the lines "Not that I'm anywhere" as the ... read more
i love the darker tone to this track. your work is really exciting, hope to see more!
great production, and good lyrics but just not enough progression for me to rate this higher, though i appreciate this is merely a demo.
