I got recommended this album back in around February (thanks sapphire) and I turned it off after track 1 because the vocals didn't fit me. Oh how wrong i was, the first two tracks may as well be top 10 songs of all time just because how emotional they are to me. It's just pure midwest emo perfection
This is the most vivid album listening experience i remember. It was my birthday, I was waiting for some guests and got told they'd come in around 3 hours, so i listened to this LP because i got recommended it by spotify. Sometimes the simplest option to make an LP great is to add another 20 songs to it. Why does it work? Don't ask me. It still sounds and feels agressive, but sometimes it can get quieter and slower (f.e numbers on yo head) and i love both of those tones
I first listened to this sometime in May-June (?) and thought "Yeah this guy's vocals are bad" and then it hit, like most of the artists i like now it just has to grow on you. This is a gorgeous Americana album and very emotional nonetheless
Every time i relisten to this project it gets better and better; it's rebelious, loud and everything combined into tiny little tracks that feel like different episodes of a mental breakdown with accompanying blasting drums. It really is 10/10 worthy material
