feels like ariana’s attempt at making a new “we can’t be friends”. kind of repetitive, meaning i likely won’t listen to it much. i do love that she incorporated the sound waves from a flower into the actual instrumental.
the introductory tracks to the album are great; sonically diverse and up-tempo, but the project loses some connection just after the second half. the lower energy tracks after 101 and before freak it feel out of place in this otherwise upbeat album. the cover art is very pretty and matches most of the songs well.

great representation of the instability of life, showcasing both highs and lows will equal honesty and raw vocals. great standout tracks, which unfortunately cause some other tracks to fall behind in picking a song to listen to day-to-day. cool album cover with a great meaning.

i almost never listened to this album, but the boyfriend made me, and i’m very glad he did. coming into my first listen, i had only heard crank and old technology. i was pleasantly surprised when the rest of the project held up the high standards she set with those songs. worst girl in america is a proof of concept that gritty vocals and hard dance instrumentals can work coherently. the album cover perfectly showcases exactly what this body of work has to offer.

harry had big boots to fill after his three-album run of hits. however, this album feels like he mistakenly thought he no longer had to try his best. compared to his other works, the vocals and lyrics feel somewhat lazy too often to be ignored. with that being said, there are some great highlights in terms of instrumentals.
i have nothing nice to say about the album cover, so i will say nothing at all.
best:
1. taste back
2. dance no more
3. american girls
