wow.. this is really good. reminds me of the first time i listened to dreamcast summer songs. plunderphonics is the only genre that really makes vocal-less music engaging and fun to listen to (other than like jazz)
really good math rock/post hardcore album i would recommend this to anyone who likes at the drive in or fall of troy
I’m not gonna lie, everything about this album is pretty terrible BUT I do believe it might be the funniest album i’ve ever listened to. Like, i’ve never found myself audibly laughing while listening to an album but this one got me. Anyone giving it a low score is just riding the hate from tiktok, he’s not even a bad dude and it’s not like the music is egregiously horrible. Personally the sound is not for me but I can respect it from an ironic standpoint and found ... read more
Halfway through Luis Spinetta’s discography.
Amazing, while not quite at the level of his earlier work in Almendra, this album is incredible in its own right.
some parts are better than others. rise! and the 5th track were stand outs to me but the 8 minute interlude definitely drags it down for me.
Really really good! One of my favorites of the 2020s now.
EDIT: 89 > 95 It gets better the more I listen to it
the most boring artist of the decade. my main gripe with odetari's music as a whole is that it all sounds the same and here is no different, every song genuinely sounds the same and it doesn't help that odetari's delivery is legit just repeated on every song. the lyrics are so corny and are usually just about being rich and getting bitches. some people can do that really well, like tyler on cmigyl except there the album actually has a theme and production to match. here it just ... read more
honestly dont hate it just kinda dislike it. hysteric is a pretty cool song imo and some parts would be actually good if they were fleshed out more or maybe just thought about a little more. lyrics are pretty corny same with the production and the mixing is pretty terrible.
Medusa is such a crazy ass song
Edit: 85 -> 91 relistened again
Sonically, the lows are low and the highs are low. The beats are either genuinely terrible or okay at best and the rapping and flows get boring easily. Outside of that, this album might contain some of the CORNIEST lyrics I've ever heard, a highlight being "A black transgender klan member." The only redeemable quality in my opinion was the JID feature. The other features were atrocious and added nothing to the overall experience. The skits were lame, The rapping was lame, THIS ... read more
Is and continues to be my favorite mixtape of all time. There is no doubt in my mind that steez was a genius and this would've been one of his many masterpieces. RIP KING STEELO
