Over 50 years after release and this is still such a great album, with high praise and acclaim. As a deep fan of Pink Floyd, I would rank this 2nd in their catalogue with The Wall in #1, but this album is heavenly, despite its “short” runtime. On the run brings this album down, and sometimes I’m just not in the mood for Money, On the run is just headache inducing. A tear jerking album, but can also be something you can dance to, and in general this is just a calming melancholic type feeling album. Billy Corgan (lead singer) speaks on issues in his life, the death of his mother, his cautious approach to love, and philosophy. Billy is soft spoken, and a poet in these lyrics, while the music itself is pleasing. Giving you memories of a time you never had, 10/10 album for me, have been waiting to do a longer review on this album.
