you either get it or you don’t. it’s experimental, gothic, and possibly her most political work yet. I can’t help but fall more in love with Madonna for choosing to use her platform to push the messages that she stands for. the only thing that keeps me from fully loving this album are the songs that are less serious, like Medellín and Bitch I’m Loca.
this album gets more hate than it deserves. Madonna had nothing left to prove by this point and she just wanted to make an album that would make people want to get up and dance. I think she accomplished that goal, and made many songs that deserved to be staples in her already-lengthy greatest-hits collection.
