A bit of a different vibe with this one, WEG shifts more toward a safer electro ambient sound, but is still able to make some memorable tracks within many misses for me. The addition of vocals in some of the tracks help a lot (plein soleil and in silence gain alot from it)

(wasn't sure about it after all since it didn't manage to surpass ditto, but it is still one of the best upbeat and fun kpop track of the year so far)

(maybe biased, but it is one of the most refreshing song in kpop in a while and what newjeans needed to reach their record-breaking status)

(attention grabbing start to their career, it's a fun song with great production)

(this song will never get old)

(lyrics aside, the beat is really great and makes it incredibly catchy)

(not as flashy as their other songs, but a very good showcase of their vocals)

(their actual first good song, we finally hear their vocals clearly and the productions doesn't sound as cheap their previous songs, overall a very good song, even the rapping sounds fine)

(controversial opinion, but I don't get the hype over whistle I just think it sounds cheap and the vocal performances are very weak)

(fun and bombastic start to their career, there's still a lot of things that sounds odd in the song like the use of indigenous chanting, the annoying "oppa", the rapping, the instrumentals, it's really not that good sadly)

1. DDU-DU DDU-DU - 80
(when it comes to title tracks, I can see why it is their most replayed and popular one. It sounded fresh before they reused it 20 more times as their blueprint, and overall it is the signature blackpink sound that we've all come to love)

(not a big fan of the rap portion in the middle and the ending part also feels out of place, it's a shame because the rest sounds amazing)

I love Blackpink, but this is their worst release so far.

(I admire the attempt, but these samples just don't work, it's annoying and painful to listen to)

(A way better single than Pink Venom and Ready for Love, but it still suffers from their curse of sticking to the same production formula. The chorus is not good. The samples are a lot better than Pink Venom, and the rapping too.)
