Hey yall, today’s album is My Back Was a Bridge for You to Cross, in which the name of the album matches a lot with the overall ideas, mainly the album cover. The cover of the album is Marsha P. Johnson, a deceased american activist that fought for the rights of the LGBTQ+ community. Her back was a bridge for many other queer people to cross, and that’s why the name of the album. The overall atmosphere is extremely dark and melancholic, and I ... read more

Hey yall, today’s album is The Age of Pleasure by Janelle Monáe. I’m sincerely feeling like I’m in a beach during Summer, even though here in Brazil we’re in Winter and it is quite cold. Janelle Monáe’s most recent album feels like an extremely refreshing, sensual and insightful manifest that feels personal but free and fun at the same time. A lot of the lyrics on the Album weren’t really that good, and the ... read more

Hey guys! So I’m going to review every single day different albums from different queer artists as a matter of celebrating people being who they truly are. With that, let’s talk about Starfucker, a really different album from WGIA tbh π . So, Starfucker sometimes lands flat, as this more disco/dance-aesthetic she invested in may sound generic, but overall, she slayed as usual. I strongly believe that the more generic tracks here were only ... read more
Ariana Grande's eighth studio album is finally coming, with the release of the lead single “hate that i made you love me”. After almost 20 years of her artistic career, she's back and reinventing herself for her supposed last trick before staying away from the industry for some time. This release feels extremely refreshing, as she's aiming for this more bedroom and alternative pop aesthetic that differs from a lot of her previous works. Even though sounding quite ... read more
Detour is finally out after this “all over the place” rollout, and it is definitely one of the highlights of 2026. Kim is in her best creative era atm and I believe she can finally dream bigger and bigger with her next projects. Cohesion is probably the biggest issue here, but it’s easy to understand why right?
Bella Kay is still following the nice approach she has been recycling for some time by now. And it still bangs, I just think she needs to focus on making her ideas more cohesive when put together. Her projects are already insanely concise, so cohesiveness is almost a pre-requirement. I really love “Promise?”, but the other tracks are only decent, and that is that.
Big Fish Theory by Vince Staples explores the idea of the big fish in a small pond, mentioning the isolation of fame and displaying topics such as racism, institutionalism, self-destruction, corruption, etc. About the colors used on the album cover, orange and blue are opposite colors on the color wheel, having a complementary relationship. As present on the cover and behind the album’s concept, the goldfish presents itself as a core element of the project that illustrates the idiom of ... read more
I love seeing artists dedicated as her, that are able to create amazing artworks without even having huge investments. This is enough proof of how art is art independent of the money invested in it. Art depends on human effort to be amazing and it's evident how dedicated she is in this project. I really want to become an artist in the future. And she is a big inspiration.
I really feel like this is the best soundtrack of all time, this was beautiful from start to finish
