Really interesting ideas, phenomenal lyrics and really beautiful vocals, but there are a lot of unnecessarily long instrumentals and interludes, which made it quite difficult for me to actually reach the end without losing interest. But even despite that I can't deny that theres a lot of great creativity and songwriting here.
mostly forgettable, but not without the usual depressing mood, goofy sax licks and unconventional songwriting
Can be a little cliche at times (eg you are my chosen chosen chosen family or the who's gonna save you now chorus) but the production, songwriting and vocal performances are really impressive. I especially loved akasaka sad, xs and paradisin'.
Decent songwriting and really cool vocals. Just wish it was a bit more consistent and a bit more daring - nothing in particular stands out for much of it.
It's got some great moments, but the lyrics are just a bit bland, and the whole thing seems really safe, making the album seem a bit underwhelming in the end. That said the production (George Daniel my beloved) is awesome and the vocals don't disappoint.
