Harry Styles - Kiss All The Time. Disco, Occasionally.

boring all the time. lcd soundsystem occasionally

Melanie Martinez - HADES

Sorry, but I cannot take posturing about misogyny seriously from someone who has been accused of raping and sexually assaulting multiple people. Several people have praised this album for its willingness to be political, and while I agree we absolutely need more unapologetically political art, especially in times like these, this feels like being lectured on the harms of homophobia by Anita Bryant.

Slayyyter - WOR$T GIRL IN AMERICA
90

I cannot believe the evolution and curatorial instinct that Slayyyter shows on here as someone who's been following her since S/T

DECO*27 - アニマル [Animal]

I think this is the only song I've ever heard that is about Being a Cat Girl that makes the narrator sound like someone who swipes expensive glassware off your countertop to get attention

DECO*27 - テレパシ [Telepathy]
85

this is very good and the narrator sounds like the exact same kind of idiot as me. very fun, very bouncy, very cute.

Charli xcx - Wuthering Heights
85

I did not like the movie very much, but this soundtrack is absolutely stellar. I really loved every second of this.

She Wants Revenge - Up and Down
80

the first four tracks are amazing. love me is unintentionally hilarious and honestly quite shit

She Wants Revenge - She Wants Revenge

this album is as good as it is stupid. this album is incredibly stupid

Poppy - Empty Hands

I love Poppy, and I adored Negative Spaces, which is tied with I Disagree for my favorite album of hers. I was really willing to give this one a fair shake, I know not everyone likes clean vocals in their metal, but I do think it can really work if done tastefully and if the vocalist has the voice for it.

Empty Hands shows that Poppy is absolutely the latter, her vocals here are great as always, but it fails on the former, with the melodies and lyrics falling flat. This is Negative Spaces with ... read more

ROSALÍA - LUX

I don't think a pop album has moved me as deeply as this has in a very long time. This has to have been what it felt like when Homogenic or The Dreaming dropped back in the day.

Nicole Dollanganger - Natural Born Losers

As haunting as it is delicate.

Taylor Swift - The Life of a Showgirl
25

We might have discovered the first case of sexually transmitted CTE because what the fuck are we doing here

1989 is the first album I ever bought on CD back when I was 12. Taylor Swift was sort of the start of me appreciating pop music, as well as full album, deliberate listening. I will freely admit her faults, but she is very much an artist whose work I care about.

Usually with her albums, I like a few select tracks off the bat, and the rest of the album grows on me. There are exceptions: ... read more

Korn - Word Up!

this has no right to work as well as it does

Sabrina Carpenter - Man's Best Friend
70

It's mostly fun but My Man on Willpower and We Almost Broke Up Again are impressively bad

Melanie Martinez - Cry Baby
40

Part of me will always love this album because of how important it was to me in high school. The album is also pretty bad.

Ninajirachi - I Love My Computer

pls restock the vinyl.

Jessie Murph - Sex Hysteria

Portals for Trump Supporters

Ethel Cain - Willoughby Tucker, I'll Always Love You

I could definitely tell these were Preacher's Daughter b-sides, but I don't want to imagine a world without these songs out there either. A fantastic middle ground between PD and Perverts.

Tyler, The Creator - DON'T TAP THE GLASS
80

Well Tyler just outdid everyone in my life for birthday gifts this year

Ghost - Skeletá

its fine. honestly most of these songs REALLY work for me
