How is it that mine is the highest rating for this here? I guess I just vibe with any shit Spencer Krug does, dunno. Great stuff! Immediately played it for the second time right after first listen.
I could use a bit more jazz in my jazzy prog rock, but 1973 was 50 years ago, so I won't be peaky with my delicious food. Also every band that doesn't ignore VdGG in the history of progressive sound gets a medal from me personally. This was fun.
What is this? A Foo Fighters album I've actually enjoyed? Weird times, weird times indeed.
They say that the worst things are usually made by a committee, but here we are, with a committee of musicians led by a British comedian who really likes his music, and it's a good ride from start to finish. I know some of Acaster's collaborators on this, but most of them I don't, and they all seem like a great crowd to check out.
It was a facepalmish 55 at first, but this grew on me immensely somehow, I kept returning to it again and again, catchy if silly, when you're in the right mood. So, up, up the rating goes!
