This album is a very fun listen, I am very new to this genre of music but I have to say that it is a solid few songs that managed to capture the essences of bands I have listened to before like King Gizzard and The Lizard Wizard as well as other electronic acts like LCD Soundsystem. Going into the first track I was curious because the sounds started off kind of rough but you have to ride it out and then you are welcomed with some chaotic symphonies that work decently well. As much of a fan as I am of prog and weird music in general, the more avant-garde side of the genre often fails to engage me. I appreciate crazy ideas and experimentation, but I kinda need something to latch onto, not just a completely chaotic mess of sounds. If you give me an album where every song is devoid of comprehensible structure and sounds more like a bunch of jazz musicians having a bad trip, I will probably find it difficult to engage with it.

My tastes for progressive rock (and this also extends to jazz, which this album also takes heavy inspirations from) typically fall outside of the overtly flashy or shock-over-substance type (only exception being Dream Theater, as despite being the poster child for this brand of progressive rock, they also know how to write and structure a song).
