I'm always a little skeptical in the face of purely instrumental prog metal albums since most of them tend to leave me a little bored, but this one is a pleasant exception. Yes, it has many slower sections, but it always sounds like it's heading somewhere and rarely like it's just aimlessly meandering. Listened to this before bed and had the worst sleep of my life. Kinda cool though
The first three tracks felt a bit meandering to me but damn Lithos might be one of her best songs ever... Lili is always a difficult artist for me to rate since her music and entire process is so unique, but I think I still enjoy Kawax a bit more on the whole. Again though, Lithos is truly wonderful and showcases some of her absolute best vocals and synth mats.
Idk... I didn't mind Wallsocket, it was pretty fun and clever, but this just sounds so generic and safe by comparison. Also feels like there's more influence from Jane Remover on this one, which does nothing but add annoying cringe to the mix. Not the worst thing ever, but not for me.
