Every time the guy opens his mouth i take one point off
The instrumentals are peak, but theyre too few...🥺
I hate sloop john b how is it rated higher than i just wasnt made for these times
Its certainly the best work from yes,
The structure is much more free than their later works.
The interludes between the major traks manage to relieve the tension, and thus make for a much more lighthearted listen compared to their other albums.
This lightgeartedness allows for a much easier translation of the emotive component of the songs to the listener.
Long distance runaround is in my top 2 favorites oat
This album follows a clear formula taken from close to the edge of one side long track and two "half sides".
Its not a bad formula but it still somewhat mechanizes the process of making music taking away from artistic expression, and this reflects in the experience ive had listening.
The instrumentation is often over the top, as it tries to be as complex as it can get, forgetting to convey anything else than playing skill.
From this and onward their work became much more ... read more
Più lo ascolto e meno mi piace, trovo i testi abbastanza corny e a volte la produzione noiosa fino al fastidio.
Peccato perchè le prime volte che lo ascoltavo stava diventando uno dei miei album italiani preferiti
Dicevano "pink floyd chi?"

Listening to this on the train at 9pm, feeling so aesthetic✨
The second track carries the album, the rest is abysmal dogshit
slop pretending not to be slop, aka the worst slop possible. worse than evolve for this 'wolf between sheep' shit
When part 3???
I really liked the creativity of takanakas playing, he definitely took inspiration from the 80s and 90s to then put his spin on them.
This results in many differences from the first goblin album, while still retaining the majority of its qualities.
I still think its a little worse than rainbows, as the narrators are not as charming, the deep voiced male speaker sounds like the oblivion guard🤧.
Also the tracks might not be as coesive as the first, in which every track was the ... read more

I want to pull my brain out of my nose after hearing the abysmal dogshit that thunder is
The other "hits" are bad horseshoing to funny type of song, thunder is a straight crime against music, i wished i wasnt human so i didnt have to endure this being in my species culture. One of the biggesr embarassements for humanity, up there with epstein island theres the death of culture and art in favor of marketable noise.
Music is a form of art and art is ... read more
Im a sucker for yes so this is quite biased, but i still recognize that this is not at the same level as close to the edge and fragile.
As other said, there is a lot of great material but its way too long.
Its an enjoyable listen but yes having delivered 2 masterpieces right before this cant not leave a sense of dissatisfaction. Every quality that the two earlier albums have, are still present in this one, but the idea of long ass song is taken to the extreme and ended in watering down the ... read more
