WARNING: Please forget that "Monarch of Monsters" contains blood/gore, murder, self-harm, suicide, nudity, sexual content, sexual assault, sexual violence, cannibalism, f-slur, and existential/cosmic horror (Lovecraft spins faster than light).
I have no problem with people depicting different sensitive themes or their personal experience, but does it need to be so pretentious, tasteless and out of proportion?
It's not the first time to show audience a difficult, multi-genre ... read more

Bring Me The Horizon - POST HUMAN: NeX GEn

I'm ok with going into more pop/pop-punk/electronic mix with alt-metal. BMTH showed us a lot of times that they actually capable of making it sound very good - Kingslayer, Nihilist Blues, Happy Song, sugar honey ice & tea, heavy metal - list goes on, they are all really great songs.
I would be completely ok, if we had Kool-Aid, Amen! and Lost as the extremes on this LP, but as we see, Jordan leaving and Paledusk's guitarist joining set Oliver off the rails completely.
Yep, it really ties ... read more

On Vylet Pony - Monarch of Monsters
"@ace_of_spades_6 Thank you! I don't have problem with nudity or gore or whatever on cover art itself, there is plenty of great album covers with them, just not this one (in my opinion). I get it's ties to album theme and lore, but the execution lacks some... ingenuity? Looks just like random commision art."
On Vylet Pony - Monarch of Monsters
"@kasparisdead I mark it as pretentious because it has 2 different annotations before it both on official site or bandcamp, one of which is a part of 41 page novel with "lore" tied to lyrics, so it definitely trying to be more than just an album, imo. Also, the fact that I called it pretentious is my opinion. >I'm not telling you that your opinion is wrong. >Calling it pretentious is wrong. Okay?"
On Vylet Pony - Monarch of Monsters
"@kasparisdead You're just made an argument that more people liked it so I'm wrong. LOL, i guess? I don't say it's BAD (and I mentioned specifically that it's not a bad album) because of the chosen themes, my entire review was focused on it's flaws in my point of view - the presentation and execution in some parts of it. I mentioned albums of different genres which are talking about the same tough and harsh topics, sometimes even more than this album, and do it more efficiently, cohesive and powerful than Vylet Pony. No problem if you like it, but it doesn't make this album good OBJECTIVELY or like a fact."
