The first pop band I ever liked. In retrospect this is because they are lyrically a sort of punk band. Actual punk pop.

Very fun. All over the place, with Dick Dale tone and dubstep drums and whatnot

Yeah prog-punk. Hard to catch the lyrics, which is part of the effect but also a shame

i forget which wave we're on. this is a big bag of slightly involuted conventions (e.g. the unison backing vocals screaming but really low in the mix, the late Against Me! bass solos) but it's so well-executed and unsickly that you don't mind.
