As my first Swans album, I didn't really know what to expect, especially considering this one is only 36 minutes compared to their usual hour+ albums, and at first I was very conflicted on what to think. As my second J. Cole album (first being 2014 Forest Hills Drive), I'm genuinely blown away by not only how much he's improved, but also just how consistently great this album was all throughout. With that said, let's get into the first half

This was... not really worth the wait. Going into this album I was pretty hyped, with Helicopter being a really strong single and Punk Rocky, while not being that great, was still pretty alright. Unfortunately, the main album on average is usually worse than the latter. A lot of songs can be split into 3 categories:
-Boring: Order of Protection, The End, and unfortunately even Fish N Steak, with an incredibly weak Tyler feature

While overall I didn't enjoy it, I feel like it wasn't as bad as I was expecting it to be. Head Shot (only that half) and Big Girls especially were surprisingly decent, and even at its worst it's just painfully boring. With that said, the beats are overall not great, and Speed himself can't really write a compelling song.
