Controversial opinion but I think Future is kind of a genius. Like genuinely when you listen to the complex narratives of love, lust, loss and addiction present in his music it can be really moving. To me, his 2014 mixtape “Monster” is the perfect synthesis of what makes his music so generally great. But then you get utter slop like “mixtape Pluto”.
