“My Ghosts Go Ghost’ is a dense, tender exploration of grief, longing and eventually acceptance. Starting in a dark, hopeless space, it develops into something greater than itself. It’ll take time to grow, but its process is worth it.

Halsey wraps up “The Great Impersonator” with a selection of beautiful tracks, which add on as marvellous extension to the world building of the original.

Points of Inaccessibility just pours over you, spilling over complex moments of nostalgia and a distinct feeling of reluctance. You’re lifted into something that you can only describe as holding on, not for dear life, but time as it passes. It’s a great album to listen to when you feel alone, or just need some comfort when things get tough.
Favourite tracks: All of them (they work well together as one)
Overall rating: 94
Enthusiastic pop rock that attempts to up one’s spirits but surely falls short in being impressionable.
Favourite tracks: Lemonade, Sunflowers, Palaces, Broken Bones, Sanity

A sweet, dreamy album ideal to get lost in. Holly Humberstone conjures up timeless landscapes and introspective visions while delivering banger after banger.
Favourite tracks: Make It All Better, To Love Somebody, Cruel World, Die Happy, White Noise
Overall rating: 85
Thriving in the highs of the crushingly stark standouts, its collective loneliness shines through on most tracks. It is through the uncertainty presented here that everything feels at stake all at once.
Favourite tracks: IMPLOSION, S.W.M.F, Big Bad Wolf, I Keep My Promises

The latest follow-up to A Matter Of Time, lend itself to tracks that despite being in the same grain as the original, don’t hit as hard. Nonetheless still an enjoyable listen.
Favourite tracks: Madwoman, How I Get

Slayyyter’s “WOR$T GIRL IN AMERICA” is abrasive , full of energy. It depicts a lavish yet sleazy lifestyle, with some bangers in between. You’ll end up enjoying the more boisterous tracks on this records
Favourite tracks: DANCE… , OLD TECHNOLOGY, YES GODDD, $T LOSER

This felt really dreamy and introspective, with the lightening of emotion baggage through the album. Some parts were quite nostalgic and it’ll be interesting to see where this goes!

8 years after “Testing”, A$AP Rocky’s “Don’t Be Dumb” is aggressive yet relaxed. With the dreamlike beats being catchy and memorable, it’s a perfect return to form for him.
Favourite tracks: HELICOPTER, STAY HERE 4 LIFE, PLAYA, PUNK ROCKY
Overall rating: 84
This album feels so cinematic, tranquil and sprawling. Some parts genuinely feel out of this world, and the range of topics touched on makes this project really meaningful. It’s a great idea to really sit down and get through it all at one go, and I enjoyed the various influences on this project.
Favourite tracks: The Mountain, The Happy Dictator, The Hardest Thing, Orange County. The Manifesto, The Sad God
Overall rating: 83
Feeling like a high energy harvesting of nuclear beams, Octane is filled with bold, almost technological tracks, with strong highs despite a dragged out middle portion of the tracklist that feels repetitive and indistinct.
Favourite tracks: E85, Body, Tiramisu, ATM, Excavator, Gemstone, Sweet Home
Overall rating: 71
The intent to comfort and to soothe is there, however the music is quite one note, with lack of substantial development over the course of its duration. The average tracks are spread throughout the tracklist, unintentionally slowing the album down, but it generally starts picking up in the second half.
Favourite tracks: Here, Rubber Band Man, Run Together, Begin Again
Overall rating: 65
Big on sunny tunes and country influences, “Creature of Habit” is bright and rustic, filled with dreams and experiences ranging from forlorn feelings to growing up, all in the peace of the countryside.
Favourite tracks: Stay In Your Lane, Wonder, One Thing At A Time, Mantis, Sugar Plum, Same
Overall rating: 79
What an experience. From the get go you’re hit with both ethereal and heavy qualities of the music presented here. The music here shifts between both grounds, allowing you to truly immerse yourself in the idea of decomposition but prior to that, life. It’s really good, hard hitting yet beautiful.
Favourite tracks: never come never morning, cannibal world, the rain don’t care, ballet of the traitor, essential tremors
Overall Rating: 85
WILLOW experiments with jazz, piano arrangements and rock infusions but with its short run time and lack of strong development on most tracks, it’s difficult to leave an impression and feels solely like a passion project.
Favourite tracks: vegetation, play, not a fantasy
Overall rating: 61
Laufey draws upon orchestra ensembles and ticking clocks to create an album full of life and expressionism, containing the classic highs and lows of a relationship as seen through life itself. The jazz and string influences are big wins on this record.
