After my third try of enjoying this album today, I don’t think I ever will. The stripped back instrumentals and Frank’s melodies just don’t click with me. It’s not bad but I have no desire to ever go back to this. Also after how Frank has treated his fans I can’t help but feel this project is preachy without merit, cos he’s an asshole. I really love his Tyler features but this album is extremely overrated
This is an album that I refuse to rate. It feels like more than music; the way it demands your attention creates this surreal experience.
Every couple years I’ll relisten to it, and it only gets more heavy. Not only because as my adult life continues the more people I know pass away, but the fact that I feel so alone. During my first ever relationship, I nearly took my own life. I wouldn’t necessarily call it a suicide attempt, but I wont go into details. However, I broke up with ... read more
Back by popular demand is just peak Quadeca. Wish quad would release this. The radio host sample is so fantastic. We are so back ghost edition
Don’t let them see you is less developed but I enjoy it for what it is. A prelude to fantasy world
Gone gone is also fantastic
I remembered hating this so better than I thought at Least
Actually mixed pretty good on the beat but the vocal mix is way too clean for joey vocals.
Chorus isn’t catchy and I don’t remember his verse.
Quads is abit better, viagra line is peak quad from this time but it’s a flow I’ve heard a billion times.
Pretty high quality. Clearly this artist is still forming and isn’t 100% original but it’s pretty good. Seems like he pulls pretty heavily from a lot of hyper pop acts like brakence and glaive, and abit of a rock/shoegaze influence. However when the quality is there, I’m not too worried he won’t find his own sound.
Skin is cleary the best but I very much enjoy tongue tied and let me go a lot.
There was a period of my life where I didn't cry for 3-4 years when I was a teenager. Ever since then I've had trouble crying. This song makes me cry. I feel so alone when listening to this song. I can only exist in the world is creates. I have sat in the dark listening this song in some of the darkest moments of my life. It holds that part of me, and it makes me doubt if we can ever truly heal from those who have hurt us.
The production is hollow and haunting, with certain parts ... read more
Holy fuck this is just soul crushing. It’s like the musical equivalent of giving you the cure and the sickness at the same time
Some how Peggy’s production gets messier and less interesting on this project. This has great songs and pretty meh ones. Scaring the hoes was a lot better, and yeah it’s Peggy so this will probably still be top 3 this year but it really doesn’t deserve it
Not going to deny this has some absolute bangers but on so many songs he sounds like a pool boy who’s afraid to speak but wants to fuck the mum
This album is pretty underrated. They’ve got a lot more than just take on me.
It’s not the most experimental unique music out there but it is great synth pop with larger than life choruses.
It just makes me feel and wanna dance
And I love it for that
I kinda feel bad about this review because this band just seems like some dudes that wanna jam, but holy shit this is just terrible
To start off the cleans are so horrible and whiney they just ruin every single song.
Also, the overly clean production just does not work. It just makes every song sound so boring
This probably has the least interesting guitar work I’ve heard in the genre of swancore
The screams are fine but are often mixed to be underwhelming and are alittle one note ... read more
