I don't understand why all this Melodic Metalcore Revival goes under the radar.
The production is good, low screams are juicy, and this is real angry. Sick debut release, I'm excited for what's next.
It's a solid compilation of Melodic Metalcore Revival.
My stand out track was 'Il Était Une Forêt' by CrossMyHeart.
Eh.
It was okay, nothing too bad but really not anything special. It’s different to most Melodic Metalcore Revival because instead of adding better production or a polished sound to the genre, it just sounds like a random release from 2004. The production is bad and the vocals are grating. There’s nothing offensive here and some of the breakdowns do pack a punch, but there’s so many releases exactly like this but better.
It's in-cohesive, just doing anything and calling it music at this point.
The Sleep Token of Black Metal.
This had me engaged at first until I realised it was 45 minutes of the same octane Post-Black Metal. The production is really good and each track sounds massive but the music is just dull. Some of the synthy sections like in ‘Luminary’ and ‘LBRNTH’ just sound so cheap. It’s not awful music but each song doesn’t offer anything different from another.
