Kanye really went for something more personal on this one. You can feel him digging into faith family pain fame bullshit and that whole survivor mindset. A couple tracks actually have real storytelling specific memories and some metaphors that hit you when you read them alone. The emotional parts show he put in actual effort and heart on the page.
Still though a ton of it feels thin. Way too much looping the same lines over and over without taking them anywhere new a bunch of short bare bones ... read more
