This is one of the best rap albums of the year, for sure. It seems like they never rapped like this before. It feels like they're on fire here.
There are some good samples and some good ideas here to make it fun enough for you to listen to it entirely, but there's a problem. Maybe new listeners won't get into it so easily, since it feels a little dated. And the album is unecessarily long, so, towards the ending, it gets overwhelming.
This album felt very emotional. His voice is incredible here and it's groovy enough to bring you back to the 70's.
But sometimes it felt too soft and it kind of loses dynamic, unfortunately.
His best album to date, though. Go have a listen.

They made an amazing debut. Then they made a solid second record. And then this. This sucks. Seriously!
The album doesn't make any sense. It's repetitive, lifeless and lacks the different little sounds and things that made Goat great. Even the guitars here suck.
Bad one, guys...
Okay, this one is a good one.
It's not as good as I thought, though. This is album is huge and I feel like 10 or 12 songs would do it. But it turned out to be okay.
The Weeknd has this "Michael Jackson feel" only he knows how to do it. The downbeats are great and the melodies are not boring anymore. It's a joy.

The first song is a masterpiece, the rest of the album is just good. It's kind of more of the same.
The lyrics are great though.
