This is one of the best rap albums of the year, for sure. It seems like they never rapped like this before. It feels like they're on fire here.

There are some good samples and some good ideas here to make it fun enough for you to listen to it entirely, but there's a problem. Maybe new listeners won't get into it so easily, since it feels a little dated. And the album is unecessarily long, so, towards the ending, it gets overwhelming.

This album felt very emotional. His voice is incredible here and it's groovy enough to bring you back to the 70's.
But sometimes it felt too soft and it kind of loses dynamic, unfortunately.

His best album to date, though. Go have a listen.

Wtf happened with this band?
For real!

They made an amazing debut. Then they made a solid second record. And then this. This sucks. Seriously!
The album doesn't make any sense. It's repetitive, lifeless and lacks the different little sounds and things that made Goat great. Even the guitars here suck.

Bad one, guys...

Okay, this one is a good one.

It's not as good as I thought, though. This is album is huge and I feel like 10 or 12 songs would do it. But it turned out to be okay.
The Weeknd has this "Michael Jackson feel" only he knows how to do it. The downbeats are great and the melodies are not boring anymore. It's a joy.

Unfortunately, the songs look too much alike. There were times a song would end, another one would start and I wouldn't even notice it. Maybe it's because he tried to dare a ... read more

The first song is a masterpiece, the rest of the album is just good. It's kind of more of the same.
The lyrics are great though.

RIP Leonard.

I'm really tired of Thee Oh Sees. In fact, they don't have a single album that I like it entirely.

This one is different, though. This is probably the only album they recorded that's as good as their only cohesive album (Floating Coffin). The songs are long, but they're dynamic, spacy and psychedelic - Just as we want them. Oh, not to mention the guitars. They're just juicy as fuck.

The problem is, maybe, only one thing: They kinda did this one million times before. The difference here is ... read more

It starts of as a great album, but by the time 'Same Drugs' starts, the rhythm falls too much. Chance had a great chance of making a great record, but he fucked it up with a bunch of slow, barely-emotional rap ballads (sort of).

Listen to the first 4/5 songs. That's all that matters.

First, I want to point out that: The album gets boring!
Second, I want to point out that: If you're not paying TOO much attention to it, you'll end up really liking it.

I mean, the album almost reaches 1 hour long and there are only 10 songs. If they were at least distinct from each other, then it would be very nice, but they're not. They keep stretching and repeating forever. That bores the listener, I guess.
But the album has an interesting "80's sci-fi movie" vibe, with some very ... read more

O Terno's best álbum so far. It surely can get repetitive and dull towards the end, but it's certainly their most cohesive work.
The guitars are cute and get along very well with the beautiful harmonies. Not to mention the lyrics that are, as always, well written and well sang.

The problem with the album, and with the band, to be honest, is their lack os versatility. I do Love the album, but I admit that after listening tô it a lot, O still can point some differences between ... read more

Is this even Pixies?

It's not bad! I actually like it, but it sounds like a modern band trying to imitate Pixies.
Is this a bad thing? I think it is... But who cares? It doesn't suck!

Now, if you REALLY miss Pixies from the old days, try listening to 'Head Carrier' and 'Oona'.

Better than I expected, but still very unsurprising. If anyone else release this album, It wouldn't be as high praised as it is.
'Don't Hurt Yourself' is legit, though.

Worst album of the year, no doubts.

Was this supposed to please anyone? It's TOO FUCKING POP, BUT NOBODY LIKED IT! AND WHY? BECAUSE It sounds NOTHING like KOL AND NOTHING LIKE A GOOD ALBUM!

It feels so forced, so money-maker and so edited that it feels like a fucking toy.It feels futile! Whatever. Fuck off, KOL!

Well, I expected more from this, but it's waay better than the last one, at least... Megadeth kind of fooled me with some good singles ('Fatal Illusion', for example), but the end results didn't please me SO much.
The band needed this to be good, their last REAL good album was released back in 2013, so they're a long time without something new (and amazing).

The production of the album is great and it seems like Mustaine's voice is very aggressive here, which is a good thing, but I feel like ... read more

I read some bad reviews about this album, but when I listened to it I ended up being surprised.
Melvins still has it.

The songs are heavy and haunting enough to make you bang your head throughout most of the album, so you definitely should listen to this album.
But I think I know why people didn't like this one. It's sort of goofy. As if they were heading somewhere and then got lost. Even the vocals doesn't seem right towards the end of the album. It's not their best and it lacks focus, but ... read more

It feels sad to listen to a band that you love and not like it.
That's almost what happened in this album.

Don't get me wrong, it's way better than their morbid previous record and songs like 'Hard Habit to Break' and 'Heart of a Dog' are fun as hell. But it still sounds too out there, you know?
The Kills used to be energetic, dirty, romantic and rock and roll. Now I hardly hear their scracthy guitar. Alisson's voice is still incredibly good and manages to hold out the whole album in its own, ... read more

I never REALLY liked Phantogram, but they have some pretty good songs.

This album is kind of what I've been expecting from them. It's not REALLY cool, but there are plenty of catchy cool songs. It's actually pretty dark and sexy, so it kind of impressed me. My problem this band is that sometimes they feel too mechanic. It feels like they just sample something, put a melody in it, some beats and Sarah's beautiful voice and TA-DA! A new song!
I don't know, sometimes they're full of joy and ... read more

Noisy, crunchy, melodic, sad and desperate. Shoegaze to the bone!

12 songs may bore you out like it did to me, but you'll like most of it anyway. The first part of the album is everything you want from a shoegaze band, the second half just seems a bit EMO, with some overused riffs and ugly melodies.
But I recommend it anyway. This seems like a band in evolution and if it happens that they record better albums in the future, this will probably be rememberd as how it all started.

This album is actually cool!

I heard it and I wasn't paying too much attention to it and ended up hooked in a couple of songs. Sure, it's not one of the best things in the year, but it's silly enough to keep you entertained. As long as you don't take it and it's lyrics seriously.

'Walking In Circle' is certainly a great song to be on a 2016 list. Give it a try!

Talk about deception!

This is not the worst album of the year thanks to 4 or 5 songs that are actually really good. But if it wasn't for those, I would be vomiting here.

TLSP released a magnificent back in 2008, so after years and years waiting, I expected something in the same level or better. Now i got a bunch of slow paced, confusing, cocky songs that sound NOTHING like what they used to be!
It's okay to reinvent yourself, but couldn't you guys do it in a better way? The last three songs ... read more
