not worth 4 years of wait and some songs clearly dont have the same quality as youtopia and some singles but HOLY SHIT the good songs this albums has are FUCKING GREAT and God bless the glitchy production
there are some weird lows like lavish but the highs make up for it.
Favs: Overcompensate, Next Semester, Routines in the Night, Vignette, The Craving ( Jenna's Version ), At The Risk of Feelong Dumb, Paladin Strait.
Least Fav: Lavish ( idk what the hell was happenning on this song )
edit: 85>75, i take it bake, the lows are quite boring, lavish is ridiculous, the chorus on navigating needed some work and the synths on midwest indigo sound way too out of place to me
we were all joking around saying "kendrick is gonna call him a pedo" after push-ups came out and holy shit he actually did it but thats not the best part of the song, the verse were he calls him a colonizer and a culture vulture is.
"your son is a sick man with sick thoughts i think ****** like him should die" is an INSANE thing to say to someone's mother, also the sex trafficking accusations are just insane, if anything in this song ends up being true it will ruin Drake forever, there's no coming bacm from this, if he makes a song addressing the allegations it will be weird and it will be even weirder if he doesn't, there's no winning, and everyone knows he's been weird around underage girls for a while AND he ... read more
Adrianne Lenker is one of the best writters of our generation and her works keep improving with every new release, let's not take all of this talent for granted, this level of beauty cant be found everywhere.
Fav: literally every fucking song
somehow sounds more souless than JIK and that's saying a lot, many of the songs sound unfinished, beg forgiveness is 6 minutes of pure nothing, the lyrics refferencing his antisemitism are disgusting and some other lyrics are straight up annoying/doesn't flow with the track, and sure there are some good ideas in there for the instrumentation but it's Kanye, and i don't expect little from him, most of theses ideas are not executed well or have been done better by past songs of his.

I LOVE WOMEN🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Favs: Burn Alive, the Feminine Urge, Nothing Matters
Least Fav: Portrait of a Dead Girl
such a short project but it leaves so much impact for just 27 minutes, excited to see the directions the band will head up next since tracks like Baldpate Driver, Woohoo, Kiss the Ladder and Foreign show huge talent and potential of what they're capable of.
yeah idk, i just can't listen to it without thinking "this sounded better under Max Martin's production" probably her most underwhelming "Taylor's version" album so far
"boohoo band bad" DON'T CARE CHECK THIS FUCKIN SHIT OUT
COOOOOOME BREEEEEEAK MEEEEE DOOOOOOOOOOWN BURY MEEE BURY MEEE
this one is a tough one to listen to, the themes and lyrics are very personal to Sufjan and very heartwrenching, it amazes me how this man manages to create so much beauty from his grief and pain, once again proving that he's a one of a kind artist
nothing mindblowing from them but their "sticking to the basics" material like this one is still pretty fucking good, BMTH has been pretty consistent with their work lately and i hope their next album is even better than the Post Human Survival Horror EP
it's a really fun listen despite having some really dark lyrics about the fear of getting older, depression, and other very personal stuff, Damon really poured his heart out on this one and i appreciate this side of him a lot more than what he did on Cracker Island.
