It's really unfortunate that I didn't end up liking this, since the genre tags made it seem like it was totally for me. Unfortunately, many tiny boxes' debut self-titled album was pretty disappointing. I generally really enjoyed the production throughout; it's super harsh and weird, and quite well-executed, which is absolutely my thing. However, the main thing that's weighing this record down in my eyes are the vocals. I see what many tiny boxes was going for here. The delivery here often reminds me of Black Dresses, but unfortunately the vocals on this record don't have nearly as much charm as someone like Ada Rook does. They often verge on annoying, and even feel totally out of place with the rest of the song's mix, sometimes completely overpowering the rest of it. It's not impossible that this was completely intentional, since this IS an experimental album, but man it really did not work for me. Still though, I really respect the effort here and want to congratulate many tiny boxes on their production skills especially. Great job there. Unfortunately, this album is not green alien approved, but I see a ton of potential here for future releases. Keep going!
