MJ Lenderman - Manning Fireworks
100

Album 3/500:

Can’t believe I didn’t find this earlier, this is all of my favourite things in one album; charming vocals, witty lyrics, clean production and great country instrumentals.

Turnstile - GLOW ON
77

Album 2/500:

35 minutes of high energy hardcore that gives you enough room to breathe between tracks, even though 'GLOW ON' is really fun from front to back it feels like the band aren't taking many risks.

Jane Remover - JRJRJR
95

generational run of singles from Jane

MGMT - Loss of Life
82

Album 1/500:

in 2024 I listened to 167 and this year I am going to attempt to listen to at least 500 starting off with albums from 2024 that I have missed. MGMT's album 'Loss of Life' is a cute psychedelic record from the Brooklyn Duo, that really brings MGMT back to its roots.

Bright Eyes - Digital Ash in a Digital Urn
70

Completely overshadowed by wide awake but has some amazing moments

Field Medic - dope girl chronicles
65

Like 2 amazing songs but mad inconsistent

Twine - New Old Horse
78

‘New Old Horse’ is a great debut album from Australian band ‘Twine’, its harsh and grungy in all the right places but as an experience there’s a lot to be desired.

Serge Gainsbourg - Vu de l'extérieur
64

Despite being a complete piece of shit, Serge Gainsbourg was definitely one of the greatest artists to come out of France. ‘Vu de L’exterieur’ has some amazing moments throughout but is kind of underwhelming as a project.

Field Medic - Boundless & True
70

Half of the tracks on here are amazing, they’re incredibly vulnerable and beautiful but the rest just feel like throwaways and fillers.

Clairo - Sling
80

This is surprisingly really good, Clairo’s songwriting is great as usual. I was really sceptical going in as I’m usually not a fan of Jack Antonoff’s production but it’s stripped back nature really compliments Clairo’s vocals.

Black Country, New Road - Ants From Up There
100

I currently have streamed Ants From Up There for 7,400 minutes (just over 5 days), 2000 of those minutes have solely been Basketball Shoes and it is still one of the only songs that can make me cry. I don’t think a single piece of art has effected my world view like AFUT, this album has been with me through my last years of school and a downward mental spiral that caused me to drift away from my friends and family. However it has also been there through some of the best points of my life; ... read more

2hollis - boy
86

I love this man

Clairo - Charm
81

Clairo and Leon Michels worked really well with each others strengths to create the most comforting cozy album of the year.

The Hellp - LL
90

album 205/500:
82-=>90
been listening to these guys much more recently and everything they do grows on me more and more every time I listen.

Mk.gee - Two Star & The Dream Police
79

I have had ROCKMAN in heavy rotation since its release so I’m really excited for what Mk.gee does next.

Vince Guaraldi - A Charlie Brown Christmas
94

Arguably the greatest Christmas album of all time, had this on while putting up decorations and it’s completely amazing from front to back

Crystal Castles - Crystal Castles
78

Fuck Ethan Kath all my homies love Alice Glass

Primal Scream - Screamadelica
65

Really not my thing

Jane Remover - Flash in the Pan
100

PRETTY BOY SAID I WAS JUST A FLASH IN THE PAN 🗣️🗣️🗣️

Alan Palomo - World of Hassle
76

Incredibly fun and energetic and that Mac Demarco feature was a great surprise
