Jane Remover wears her hyperpop and emo influences on her sleeve to the point were some tracks sound as if it was written by a 14 year old emo.
I honestly think I would’ve liked this album more if I listened to it before ‘Census Designated’ as my favourite parts of ‘Frailty’ were built upon in ‘Census Designated’

JPEGMAFIA is probably my favourite rapper producer of all time, so when I heard about ‘THE GHOST~POP TAPE’ I was reluctant as I wasn’t sure how a JPEGMAFIA alternative rnb/ ambient pop project would sound. But this is amazing.
This is one of the darkest albums I have ever listened to, it was created at a time when Peggy was battling depression and was on the verge of death. The album is much less manic than his other work, production wise it’s similar more like a ... read more
I really love the opening track ‘Lucifer Loves Me’ and the third track ‘Bob the Habit Builder’ but every other track outside of them has so little substance.

‘Kenopsia’ on the surface is a cookie cutter modern shoegaze but unfolds into one of the most beautifully noisy records I have ever listened to. Quannics voicals blends with the instrumentals perfectly, his voice being another instrument. My only real issue with this project is that some of the ideas are not fleshed out enough.

‘Giving The World Away’ is the second studio album by Australian singer songwriter Hatchie. At its core ‘Giving The World Away’ is a decent dream pop album with some elements of shoegaze and hypnogogic pop throughout some tracks.
Most of the tracks on this album were fine but some standouts were ‘This Enchanted’, ‘Giving The World Away’ and ‘The key’.

Soda stream lay the foundations of shoe gaze with ‘Dynamo’. It’s a dreamy journey through ethereal noisy soundscapes that eventually get a bit boring over the 51 minute run time, but overall it was a fun album.

‘VEGA INTL. Night School’ is the most most recent album by the Synthpop group ‘Neon Indian’. Entirely composed by the vocalist Alan Paloma ‘VEGA INTL.’ is a nostalgic and funky journey from front to back.
Even though I’m not the biggest fan of Alan’s vocals it perfectly matches the dreamy 80s aesthetic present throughout the album.
My main issue with this project is that I didn’t feel anything major finishing it.

As a hyper-pop hater I am glad to see talented artists such as Jane Remover break away from the genre.
‘Census Designated’ is an extremely noisy album but it always gives you room to breathe creating a perfect balance of mania and serenity.

This was completely out of my comfort zone, ‘SAVED’ is the first studio album that Kristin Hayter has released under the alias ‘Reverend Kristin Michael Hayter’.
Sonically this project manages to deliver a new experience with every song, from haunting piano ballads to compressed Appalachian folk.
My main issue with this project is that it doesn’t resonate very well with me thematically as Hayter uses Evangelical Christian motifs and imagery throughout the ... read more
After the death of his partner Sufjan Stevens is back with one of his most emotionality vulnerable albums. ‘Javelin’ masterfully displays the struggles of loss but also the beauty inside of it.
8.6/10
I’m so confused, I enjoyed this album but every single creative choice on it feels so weird. The production on this is phenomenal though and is really accessible for a neo - psychedelia sound collage.
8/10
I liked almost everything about this album but majority of the songs felt stunted and too short. Every single beat was phenomenal, most of the verses were great, features didn’t feel out of place but everything left me wanting more. 20 out of the 24 tracks on this album were under 2 minutes 30 seconds so most tracks felt like a waste of MIKE’s talent.
Gonna look into his discography more

Even though this had some phenomenal parts book ending the album the entire middle section couldn’t really keep my attention. Could’ve been cut down to 10-12 tracks and the whole experience would’ve been much more enjoyable.
Solid vocals and solid instrumentals

Not as good as ‘I didn’t mean to haunt you’ but is a great step forward for Quadeca creatively.
The creativeness of the record is completely unmatched, the blending of gothic, post punk and industrial creates this dark and aggressive soundscape.
The fact an album of this depth is written, produced and performed by two people is utterly insane. Every part of this album is so well thought through and put together nothing feels out of place.
