Danny Brown is a creative genius, he continues to push boundaries after years of pushing boundaries. Though some of these songs do not hit for me as much as I would love them too, it is still an incredible album that was willing to push itself throughout the whole project. P.S. this was amazing to see on tour.
Just not worth the wait. It isn't bad. But not great. It's just pretty good. And its been too long for just pretty good. I respect the new directions. I love the presentation. But it still wasn't worth the wait.
Production on this is just actually insane, I would say this is closer to digicore than rage. But even that doesn't describe it. There are several genre blends within this and they work so well together. Every song transition is so fucking good. Like actually transcending shit. They are incredibly catchy, the melodies are mesmerizing, and the vocals match so well. I personally feel like this album could of been a classic in dance/party music. The second half of this album does drop off a bit. On top of that LIVE RIGHT is one of my personally least favorite songs I have had to hear this year. It was everything I dislike in pop music recently put into one song.
