Talking Union is absolutely essential for anyone seeking to learn the traditional union tunes for themselves or seeks to edify themselves on the music of the 1930s union movements in the United States. I own this album on vinyl!
Absolutely stellar soundtrack album . Ashita no Joe changed my life basically forever, but my GOD does the music in Joe 2 go places. This is a total biased rating and pick, but this stuff slaps. For your clarification, there are several renditions of base tracks in this album (OP song, but then a 90-second synth instrumental version, that sort of thing).
This album is ridiculously front-loaded with bangers. The second half is not bad, it's actually very enjoyable, but it just can't keep up with the levels Rakim is hitting up front. I love this album, this was my introduction to Rakim when I was like 19 (Guess Who's Back my beloved).
