One word to describe Rimpang is "different." It's something new that Efek Rumah Kaca tried to do, and it may have felt shocking for some. Nevertheless, this experimental approach is something I appreciate.
The electronic aspect is really dominant. Although there are some parts where the creative decision is questionable, most of it is executed nicely while blending the core elements of the group. It's quite a successful experiment.

Been a while since the last time I heard this project, and I must say, I was overrating it a bit.
This one doesn't give me as many sparks as I thought it would, but it's still a pretty solid project. Other than Tubuhmu Membiru...Tragis and Kamar Gelap, which I think are average, the others are great and mesmerizing.
