Brief note 2:
Confusing, most songs have the same droney, repetitive atmosphere with the lyrics having little to no meaning. I know damn well there's a song on here where Gira just says "my name is fuck" and istg Gira knows better than to just spam this bs lyric bro.
Meanwhile, the highlights sound like refined No Wave, it reminds me of Filth, and I love Filth a LOT.
Brief note 1:
I mean it's alright, I just wish the writing stayed consistent and not just repeating vague refrains over and over again. Specifically on the title track, Apostate, and Avatar. Meanwhile the highlights have some nods from.. let's say White Light and its counterpart Love Of Life. Spellling remasters her best songs from the pre Turning Wheel era. Hell yeah.

This EP to me feels like teenage thoughts made into production from some1 who was clearly inspired by a lot of indie artists and mainstream r&b except it has the "underground" fuzziness alongside the production sounding makeshift, which to me personally is my favorite thing about this project.. kinda. Idk if my taste in music has been corrupted by listening to too much niche, weird, inaccessible projects from artists with less than 10k views.. or not, I'm ... read more
