Merry Christmas everybody!
This album was pretty much everywhere during 2023 'til early 2024. Yeah, you still hear songs from it every once in a while, but its peak was unmatched.
I haven't really been looking forward to this album but not that I hate it or anything, it's just not really a standout in his discography, and he sort of changed up his style for this project.
For a record made 4 years after his most recent one, he definitely could've done a better job overall, but it's still respectable and there is hardly anything to hate.
Travis was always a Pop Rap artist, but this album in particular is the one with most Pop elements according to me. I'm probably wrong since the page lists it being a secondary genre, but for me, this was primarily a Pop Rap album.
What I don't really like about this album is the features. On his previous projects he had a good amount of really good rappers, but this time he kind of just racked up the most basic rappers at the time. 21 Savage's verses on here weren't really appealing to me, same with some of the other artists that appeared on here.
I found the runtime to also be kind of unnecessary, but since he was quiet for 4 years, and a lot of people were waiting for a new album from him, I think I can let it slide. It didn't feel very long anyway.
Travis' performance was pretty good. His flow, like always, sounds good, same with the delivery, but again, I can't appreciate the vocals, because he uses auto tune. Still, he has some pretty good lyrics so I don't think the vocals really matter in this case.
So yeah, decent listen, not much more comments available.
