AJR’s Neotheater gets entirely too much hate. There are glaring flaws with AJR’s music, primarily in the writing. The writing isn’t bad in the sense that they can’t convey a theme or a message, but it’s bad in the way that it doesn’t take much thinking at all to understand all of the things they are talking about in their music. Slimmy G’s debut project is deeply flawed in almost every aspect and it makes for quite an interesting listening experience.
