you can tell kendrick had fun making this album. it doesn't have the same level of seriousness as other albums, namely mr morale or tpab. this honestly sounds more like something he just put together for fun as a mixtape rather than an actual album

i really really enjoyed this. i loved the production, and the bars, how they sometimes tie back into the album (god lives through samples oh my god, and on the same track Q-Tip refers to the "Lyrics are abundant" line from steve biko)
