The greatest compilation album ever.
Best songs:
Rain
Day Tripper
I Feel Fine
A good final album and a good way to round things off. The Ramones made some amazing albums, six to be exact (this is one of them!), and the other half of their discography ranges from good to very bad. So this final era of the Ramones was amazing for me as it saw them entering a final burst of greatness. Adios, Ramones! Great album.
Best songs:
I Don’t Wanna Grow Up
The Crusher
She Talks to Rainbows
The Ramones feel alive in this and I felt alive listening to this. CJ makes a great first impression here as he’s on the first great Ramones album since “Road to Ruin” (1978). Amazing and just overall loveable album.
Best songs:
Poison Heart
Touring
It’s Gonna Be Alright
This has its highs but also has its lows, but is mainly made up of filler that I don’t care about.
A really weird album cause on this album are two of my absolute favourite Ramones tracks, while most of this album contains some of my least favourite tracks of theirs. Uninspired album, A for Affort. Fitting that this album sucks considering the band didn’t get along around this time.
Best songs:
Bonzo Goes to Bitburg
Something to Believe In
She Belongs to Me
The Ramones sound refreshed on this fast and heavy punk album and it’s really nice to hear them like this during a bad slump in their career. But I wouldn’t call this great like their first four records. Some parts feel really boring to me and the album has its lows. But it’s good.
Best songs:
Wart Hog
Danger Zone
Durango 95
This is their ‘back to basics’ album. Does it work? Eh… It’s not horrible, but I definitely would expect more from an album that tries to get back to the band’s golden era. Some songs I really, really like. But some I feel are just uninspired and/or bad.
Best songs:
Psycho Therapy
Time Bomb
