Ringo Starr - Bad Boy

Shortly after this album he became Thomas the Tank Engine. Great way to save his career.

Ringo Starr - Ringo the 4th

One of the worst albums I have ever experienced… and a member of my favourite band made it!

Ringo Starr - Ringo's Rotogravure

I get why George sued him over this

Ringo Starr - Goodnight Vienna

A good Ringo album. Is that saying much?
Best songs:
Only You
No-No Song
Goodnight Vienna

Ringo Starr - Ringo

Ringo Starr’s magnum opus and his only album I would consider great. This album is very, very fun and is very well made and written (by other people). Good job, Mr. Starr!
Best songs:
You’re Sixteen
Photograph
I’m the Greatest

Ringo Starr - Beaucoups of Blues

I don’t remember anything on here that’s how uninteresting it was.

Ringo Starr - Sentimental Journey

Ringo tries, pt. 1
I don’t care for this album.

Paul McCartney - McCartney III
80

His best modern album so far.

Paul McCartney - New
79

Another fine McCartney album. Nothing really too special but I can appreciate how well he sings at 73.

Paul McCartney - Memory Almost Full
75

This album is fine. A bit boring and some songs go on for too long, but it isn’t horrible. I wouldn’t call it great neither. It sits in its own awkward little middle ground, alongside albums like George Harrison’s “Gone Troppo” (1982). I wouldn’t be mad if you played a song on here in the car, but I would be fuming if you played the album in the car.
Best songs:
The End of the End
Only Mama Knows
Ever Present Past

Paul McCartney - Chaos and Creation in the Backyard

Amazing, yes and finally! This album does virtually everything right. This album feels focused and it knows what it is. The songwriting done by Paul alone is amazing and the production gives it a certain feel that only uplifts it. You can make a strong argument that Paul’s songwriting here matches or even defeats his writing from the 60s and 70s. Who would’ve thought a Beatle would make an all-timer album in 2005?
Best songs:
Jenny Wren
Fine Line
Anyway

Paul McCartney - Driving Rain

A fine attempt, I guess. I’m just disappointed cause it seems like Paul McCartney continuously makes a worse album after putting out a good/great one (in this case it’s “Flaming Pie”). This album is just so boring and uninspired.
Best songs:
Rinse the Raindrops
From a Lover to a Friend
Magic

Paul McCartney - Flaming Pie

Paul McCartney’s… what like third comeback album now? Amazing production and a Beatlesesque sound, and it’s no wonder that that sound came back. This was recorded during and after the Anthology project, so he was full of memories from that time.
Best songs:
The World Tonight
Calico Skies
Young Boy

Paul McCartney - Off the Ground

Have you ever eaten chicken without any seasoning and slapped some rice on the side, then you check the fridge to see if there’s any sauce to make your unseasoned struggle meal taste any better, but there isn’t any, so you just have to eat a tasteless and depressing meal? That’s basically what this album is.
Best songs:
Off the Ground
C’Mon People
Hope of Deliverance

Paul McCartney - Flowers in the Dirt

You’ve got to pick up the pieces, c’mon, sort your trash better. That’s what Paul did with this album! He came back from a terrible slump in his discography and brought us this soft and poppy album that definitely left me satisfied and smiling. But, like other people pointed out, the production is still off and that’s why it isn’t exactly 90+ for me.
Best songs:
My Brave Face
Put It There
This One

Paul McCartney - Press to Play

Paul McCartney’s most shocking album. Not shocking because of how good it was, but because of just how horrendous it was. Let me tell you a little story, from 1962 to 1970 a band played together and released 13 studio albums. This band takes up most of my 100/100s and 90-99/100s. Paul McCartney was one of the members of this band. I would never expect someone considered among the greatest to make something so horrendous as this. So horrendous that I will NOT do a “Best songs”. ... read more
