At least this collection of McCartney covers includes a few origials to feast on, elevating it above the Russian Album in that regard. Still, it can get a little grating after a while, even if there are some truly outstanding vocal performances from a man reaching the end of his singing prime.
Highlights - Beanjean Bop, No Other Baby, Movie Magg, Brown Eyed Handsome Man, Shake A Hand
It’s still mid, but feels as if it’s on the way of something better. Just feels a little bit hallow, and missing something that would make it good.
