Great album that delivers great emotional moments but also extreme bursts of energy. I personally think the first two tracks lack greatly compared to the other tracks.
Best songs:
Lord Is It Mine
Child of Vision
Breakfast in America
Rest in peace. 1943-2001.
Best songs:
Any Road
Marwa Blues
Stuck Inside a Cloud
This is the George I remember!
Best songs:
Got My Mind Set on You
When We Was Fab
This is Love
Overhated album. Is it great? Nah. But is it bad? Also nah. It’s good, it’s fine.
Best songs:
Unknown Delight
Circles
That’s the Way It Goes
Starting to lose me with this one. Two great albums before this, though!
Best songs:
All Those Years Ago (by far)
Blood from a Clone
Writing’s on the Wall
Another great George album that features a sort of new approach that I really like and enjoy.
Best songs:
Blow Away
Love Comes to Everyone
Here Comes the Moon
George really gets back on his legs in this amazing pop album, that’s so good it makes you forget about “Dark Horse” and “Extra Texture”.
Best songs:
Crackerbox Palace
This Song
Beautiful Girl
A very boring album that I didn’t care about at all. Sorry, George.
This would’ve been a 90/100 if his voice wasn’t on its last legs here.
Best songs:
Hari’s on Tour
Simply Shady
Far East Man
Another amazing album by George Harrison after his previous amazing album. This album features George’s best vocal performance, which would be gone by next album due to his laryngitis.
Best songs:
Give Me Love
Sue Me Sue You Blues
The Lord Loves the One
One of the greatest albums of all time that starts George Harrison’s post-Beatles underdog story. Despite this album basically being a “George and Friends” album (its only real flaw), it’s still an amazing accomplishment for George.
Best songs:
Wah-Wah
Ballad of Sir Frankie Crisp
Isn’t it a Pity
This album isnt meant to be understood as a real album of music, but an album where someone is learning an instrument. That’s why so many ratings are low when it deserves so much more.
The true final Doors album, and they — as in Jim —, went out with a fucking bang. This album felt like a mix of all their styles, experiments, etc. that they experimented with from 1966-1970, and that’s what makes it amazing. Goodbye, Jim.
Best songs:
Hyacinth House
L’America
L.A. Woman
An amazing “back-to-basics” album that brings back The Doors’ original charm… and it worked, really really well! This album was made during the unraveling of Jim’s life that lead to his unfortunate death in 1971, and in that unraveling he, Ray, John and Robbie made great music.
Best songs:
Roadhouse Blues
Indian Summer
Waiting for the Sun
This is often considered their worst album of the Morrison era, which is understandable, but does it really deserve a 57? No. It’s still a great album that features great experimentation with psychedelia and jazz.
Best songs:
Wishful Sinful
The Soft Parade
Tell All the People
An amazing album by The Doors that delves deeper into psychedelia and flamenco, with the experimentation piling up and foreshadowing the next record. Great album with some of Morrison’s best vocal performances.
Best songs:
The Unknown Soldier
Love Street
Not to Touch the Earth
A great sophomore album by The Doors that builds up on their psychedelic first album, introducing more interesting instrumentation and featuring some amazingly penned tracks.
Best songs:
Moonlight Drive
People are Strange
Love Me Two Times
One of the greatest albums of all time and the strongest debut album. This album is the ultimate statement by The Doors, with an absolutely flawless tracklist full of amazing instrumentation as well as AMAZING singing by the legend Jim Morrison.
Best songs:
The End
The Crystal Ship
Light My Fire
The first album ever by the greatest band of all time. An amazing beat/rock n roll album.
Best songs:
Twist and Shout
Boys
Do You Want to Know a Secret?
