I have never listened to a Tyler, the Creator album before. I've been meaning to listen to Scum Flower Fuckboi for a while now, but I never got around to it. I listened to IGOR hours after it first came out, and I certainly wasn't dissapointed.

I have to praise IGOR for it's incredible soundscape. Drum loops, weird synths, and pianos are all included and even make the album sound almost kitschy at times. Despite that, it knows those elements alone don't make an album good. It uses them to make ... read more

Forget You Won't Get What You Want and Girl with Basket of Fruit. Everywhere at the end of time has to be one of the most terrifying albums I've ever listened to (I'll just call it an album even though it's a series of them). As Leyland Kirby expands on the themes and ideas delved into in his work as The Caretaker, he lets his two-decade-spanning project go out with a bang in a fully realized, six part experience lasting six and a half hours, the contents of which are deeply unnerving.

While not one of my absolute favorites by Swans, White Light from the Mouth of Infinity is a truly respectable work by the band. Its less aggressive, folk, and 80s/90s rock sound certainly makes the album differentiate from the majority of Swans' discography. It's for sure more light and melodic than anything they've released up to that point, so it's filled with pleasant instrumentals that work surprisingly well with Michael Gira's gruff voice (and expectedly well with Jarboe's). With Mother's Day coming up, I went back to "Daydreaming", as it's three-year anniversary arrived briefly beforehand. By extension, I decided to listen to A Moon Shaped Pool again for the umpteenth time. You can probably tell from my rating that it still fails to dissapoint.
