I first listened to this album while walking through a forest i live near, while having a pretty serious breakdown. The beats and looping rythms perfectly encapsulated how i felt.
When the "happy" guitar from Separator finally broke through the song, as the setting sun hit my face, i wept.
Feeling the same way as i felt with Madonnas “lead single” earlier this year. This doesnt feel like a lead single as much as an intro to the album era. And if i think about it as that, is not as bad as people are making it out to be.
That being said, the song is too short for its own good, i feel that if it had been longer it would’ve given the new sound a better chance of sticking the landing.
An amazing intro to what is going to be my first Madonna era as a fan! So fucking excited for this record.
Every day that passes on this website i get more and more convinced people here hate music. This was sonically dense, whimsical and entrancing, couldn’t ask for more.
Charli’s genius remains as undeniable as ever in this new withering heights project. As she takes on an almost new art-form entirely, while also debuting as a film star, one cannot help but wonder how she manages to have such an immense output, all of it with such insane levels of quality and care put into it.
This particular song has spoken to me in the most moving way possible, and i must’ve heard it a hundred times already.

Taking her age into account, she was fucking insane for this. Absolute pop masterpiece, and an instant classic. The ending in White Teeth Teens still gives me goosebumps all these years later.
