One of the greatest projects of the past decade, from the verses and the message to the production, every element was exceptional. I might be a little biased because I’m Indian, but honestly, this stands as one of the most powerful and beautifully crafted pieces of art in the last ten years.
While there are a few shortcomings, the project is overall quite strong. Given that it’s his first release since 2018, it may face some criticism, but I found the album to be thoroughly enjoyable, Particularly the latter half.
This album is a testament to the band's exceptional craftsmanship, especially considering their career trajectory. Truly "Skip-Less" album!
While the lyrics may not be the album’s strongest aspect, the production and vocal delivery more than compensate. The sonic quality is impressive, rich, immersive, and well-crafted. It stands as a solid 7 to 8 out of 10 overall. Admittedly, listeners who aren’t inclined toward house music might not fully appreciate it, but from a production standpoint, it’s a highly engaging and enjoyable project.
This album really isn’t that bad — it definitely grows on you over time. I still don’t understand why songs like God Killed Rock and Roll and Say It Louder (which I think is the best track on the album) don’t get more love. There are some real sleepers here, and the outro is pretty solid too. Overall though, it’s above average at best — which makes their decline all the more disappointing.
Yeah, this is where things started going downhill for them — just watered-down stuff made for the mainstream crowd, which is a shame. That said, this album still has more solid tracks than misses, so I’d still consider it a pretty good record overall.
This album is likely their final strong release, featuring a robust tracklist. While there may be a few duds, the album as a whole is significantly underrated.
The tracklist demonstrates a consistently high level of quality, making it an underrated collection of songs.
A couple of teens on coke cranking out hit after hit.
Dude, why is the score so bad? This is amazing, what's up with you all? THIS IS FUCKING PEAK (THOSE OUTRO VOCALS📈)
Arguably, this is their best album to date.
Edit: Hell nah, Trench still takes the crown — probably was just recency bias — but in my opinion, it’s still their second-best album.
JID's performance underscores his position as a leading MC in the current musical landscape.
