I DONT KNOW HOW BUT THEY FOUND ME - RAZZMATAZZ
82

Ill give it 82. Like didnt think that much at first, but a few songs really hooked me and I cant say I didn't really enjoy this. Its like that popping candy chocolate with the jellybeans in, its a bit weird but not alien from what you know and love. Just sometimes you want beans and chocolate inside you silmultaneously dripping down your gullet.

Death Cab for Cutie - Transatlanticism
76

Imagine if oasis were more into limerence and not called oasis and had no links to a leisure centre to Swindon. Then you got this album.

Static Dress - Injury Episode
74

A solid ep. I feel like the girl in the car rather often.

The Harmaleighs - She Won't Make Sense
78

Honestly, what a fantastic album. Whimsy and hypnagogic all whilst imbuing a certain beauty into the listener.

Blood Orange - Essex Honey
84

I wasn't expecting to rate this quite so high. I first listened to this about 3 months ago, but recently I have found myself listening to to it quite a few times and really really enjoying. I thought it was good the first listen through, but this has captivated me as time has progressed in a way I did not expect.

Sade - Diamond Life
89

I think of Max Verstappen when I listen to this.

Sam Fender - People Watching
77

A really fantastic album. My rating is based on vibes here. I enjoy this a lot, but for me this is summer garden music for those perfect days drinking lawnmower beers and tending the tomatoes rather than an out and out masterpiece. Take nothing away from this though, its chill, calming and sounds rather good.

mouse on the keys - An Anxious Object
81

Rather nice listen, jazz and post rock is a nice combo.

The Mars Volta - De-Loused in the Comatorium
78

Errrr, I feel like I am very high and am eating a lot of christmas cake upside down, whilst being tasered at random levels (where the tasering is consensual but the taser power is sometimes more than i asked for and sometimes also a little bit less). I actually dont know if I like this or not but I actually do like it . The same way you like perfect fried eggs and never want an egg any other way, but then you know that eggs other ways cooked perfeectly are also very good. This feels like I am ... read more

Enter Shikari - Lose Your Self
82

You know what, the sound is fucking marvellous. It feels like, I listened to the spark and I was captured and was placed into a version of R2D2 without legs and i've been stuck listening to C3PO do all the work for almost a decade. C3PO was good but sometimes he didn't get it and was a little bit out of the loop. So I asked him to build me some legs, at that point my prison was no longer my prison - it was my home. I took myself to see ther boys and retaught them what it was like to ... read more

Massive Attack - Mezzanine
86

Once I got lost in the mezzanine. I did not know where I was, how I got there or how I got out.

VIOLENT VIRA - Lover of a Ghost
75

A solid album. The entire project of this record is well done, the vocals are rather good. However, I feel it lacks vim and vigor with the similar pace to the majority of the songs and it maybe suffers from a little bit of homogenity between tracks. I am excited to see where this goes.

Mötley Crüe - Dr. Feelgood
71

An album not without some merit. However, Motley Crue can be described as despots (especially Sixx and Lee) and their personas seem to permeate and taint their music; of which taints their genuinely good hits and only serves to radicalise me against the rest of the catalogue - which I can only describe as 'mediocre'. This is probably their best work, with the exception of some classic songs (i.e. girls girls girls and shout at the devil). Motley crue remain an artifact of a bygone era ... read more

Charli xcx - Wuthering Heights
82

I listened to this a couple of times without realising it was a soundtrack, and honestly knowing its a soundtrack changes the game as it initially felt a bit too ecclectic. The project overall is a great one a very interesting follow up to Charli's previous album. Overall I enjoyed this, although might not revisit it too often as overall album.

Boards of Canada - The Campfire Headphase
80

An ethereal landscape. I find this rather perplexing and unsure of how to feel in this space. It is almost minimalist in its construction but exists like a fungi in its web of mycellium. This stimulates thought, yet I present a level of ambivalence to the hue of these notions.

Magdalena Bay - A Little Rhythm and a Wicked Feeling
78

Upbeat and easy to listen to. Rather enjoyable, although this is the sum of pieces rather than being carried by on single song - although Killshot is the standout track here.

Yard Act - The Overload
83

Fantastic album with lyrisism out of this world. Some people seem to find it is a bit boring, but I feel like this is spoken word with some grooves laid around. It is relevant, fantastic and, quite frankly, genius.

Amber Mark - Pretty Idea
79

I enjoyed a few of the tracks but overall its not quite my cup of tea, either way I know that this is a fantastic album.

Lily Allen - West End Girl
77

Err not bad, poor Lily
