I’ve only listened to Illmatic before this, but KD3 has really opened my eyes to the rest of Nas’s discography. This album is really damn good, with a few lows, but nothing too major to ruin the whole thing. I really wasn’t feeling the instrumentals on songs like WTF SMH, and some of the writing was painfully cringey, but there’s also tracks like Once a Man, Twice a Child that are absolutely gorgeous. After I listened the album I went back to Once a Man, Twice a Child, ... read more
I love DOOM and nearly all his projects (we don’t talk about VV:2), and though this project wasn’t my favourite he’s put out, it was still pretty cool. I loved tracks, especially Old School, Space Hos, No Names, etc., but I have some issues. My biggest problem with the album is the skits, which most of them feel like they drag on for too long, kill the momentum, and felt so unnecessary. I think one of the best examples of this is the outro to track 3, The Mask. It killed the ... read more
For the shortest album ever it drags on for way too long. This album is absolute dog shit and the only reason you’d ever listen to it is pure curiosity. It’s only 90 seconds long, but I’m still pissed I wasted those 90 seconds listening to this. I knew that this album wasn’t going to be a masterpiece, and I thought it’d be kinda funny to listen to, but it’s really not. Painful album
Incredible energy, funny, awesome instrumental, I fucking love it. Who knew Christmas was gonna be on November 17th this year
The worst part of this album is the stupid amount of uninteresting interludes. No, I’m not the first person to say this, but I still think it’s the biggest thing weighing this album down. Aside from the interludes that pull you out of the experience, it’s incredible, with loveable early G-Funk bangers. This album blows me away, and does a really good job of encapsulating western hip-hop in the early 90’s. Albums like Doggystyle and (of course) The Chronic, it’s no ... read more
I think this album is really cool, but 93/100 is a little too high. Like all Kendrick albums, there’s a lot to unpack, and when covering an album like Damn it’s hard to find a good place to start. There’s a lot I liked about the album, from the really incredible tracks like DNA and YAH, masterful storytelling in tracks like FEAR and DUCKWORTH, as well as a pretty cool concept for the album. The whole reverse tracklist idea is cool, but it’s been done before, and done ... read more
I’ve heard this album once and I love it. From the clever lyrics, beautiful instrumentals, and perfect flows, this album is incredible. There are some parts of the album I’m not in love with, like the instrumental for walking, but it easily makes up for it. It’s an incredible journey of Denzel looking back on his life, and completely immerses you in the music. You can hear the clear inspiration from certain films he drew from, like the very grand strings reminiscent of Star ... read more
Short and sweet, like any good Earl Sweatshirt album. From the masterful production, unique instrumentals, to incredible synergy between Earl and Alchemist, this album is really fun to listen to. I always love it when the two get together, and to have an entire colab album is like Christmas coming early. This album isn’t anything revolutionary, and isn’t even the best out there, but it’s still a pretty good album, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Enjoyable album
When i first looked at this ep I thought that all the tracks were on par with the original album. they're not, but still good. if you ant some more STH music, here is the perfect place, but just a little worse. Still a really fun listen, but I can see why these songs didn't make the final cut, as on their own they're fantastic, but they just can't compete with tracks like fentanyl tester and burfict
It’s a very well made album, and a very pleasant experience. It’s a sweet album with some really good instrumentals and vocals. I think that the lyrics are corny as all hell, and some of the earlier tracks can get a bit stale, but I feel it really picks up towards the end. I don’t see myself coming back to listen to this, but it wasn’t bad by any means. Good album
music for people who sit on their balls
I caught this album live and Brad busting it down whiteboy style was the one thing keeping me sane. It’s a pitbull album and I don’t think I need to explain a 2/10
This album is an insomnia cure. There are a few decent tracks at the start, and it’s all downhill. There’s nothing all that interesting on most of the tracks, and I think some of them just feel like demos. There’s nothing that really makes me want to listen to this album ever again, and I feel I’m going to forget about it completely by Sunday. Boring album
If you look at my ratings of this album you might think I'm just dickriding peggy and mindlessly spamming 100's, but that couldn't be further from the truth. When I fist heard this album I hated it, and I gave it like an 80 because everyone else said it's good, and I didn't want to get shit on or smthn, but this album has actually become my favourite album of all time. This is an album like no other, and it shows me that there truly is no limit to what can be done in ... read more
