Although I don’t normally mind screaming, the almost drowned zombie type screaming in this I don’t enjoy as much. I think it could just be a lack of exposure, but apart from that the instrumentals were amazing and captured a feeling of longing and pain that I often search for in music. The last two tracks checked arms and in my bones were my favourites off the album.

Soma!!! Is that a brave new world reference????
The songs in this album are disgustingly catchy, perhaps Mr Casablancas is trying to take us on a soma trip of his own.

I absolutely love this album. Like many other Cocteau Twins albums there is a level of transcendence prevalent throughout, but in addition there are so many layers of lush and vibrant sound. I feel myself being transported to a new world, in which I am floating through layers of rich velvety sound.

Preferred this over the Glow pt.2, it felt like I was on a journey in some sort of fictional post apocalyptic landscape. Travelling through towns of unfamiliar people to reach the ascension.
