It's a cool song, kinda. The drop and chorus are just sorta ok, like the drop… definitely drops and the chorus is actually really catchy, just nothing at all special going on.
However the verses and the bridge/outro are very cool and somewhat carrying the song. Both instrumentally and vocally super enjoyable.
We got some wtf going on here.
Damn that last track is lowkey almost album-ruining.
Snuff The Punk is a massive and powerful record, thast sounds cool as fuck and has good lyrics. The energy is massive. It's sometimes hit or miss, e.g. I'm not big fan of Draw The Line, Who's In This House and Abortion Is Murder (heck nah).
"TRUUUUST IN MYY SELFRIGHTEOUS SUICIIIIIDE I! CRY!"
O sorry didn't see you there. Yea, Chop Suey! is my second favorite song on this album, guess I'm a poser. Talking bout favorites the best song on Toxicity is Forest to me. The lyrics are f-ing peak every part fits together perfectly. The short songs are really fun. Bounce, Shimmy, X.
Some of the guitar parts lowk sound the same tho, especially the tones.
One of these records that needed to grow on me for a bit. Now, not just is the album consistently really great. but also – O my God – the highs. Sugar, Spiders, Peephole to name a few. The album wasn't as political as what SOAD was about to do later, but it already had its fair share of political cuts such as War? or Mind which add a lot of meaning to it. The sound is chaotic, yet ordered which is a weird goal to achieve but here it works.
