the hans zimmer song admittedly carried nearly all of this. the actual lyrics from raye are overly sappy, and verge on corny at times (much like the rest of her music to me) and don't carry much weight behind them. she is talented, don't get me wrong. but this feels super mediocre at times, and yet nigh near self-masturbatory?
the two children of skrillex coming together to drop a track of insane proportions and to maximize their joint slay. wonderful.
i can genuinely appreciate the artistry the rest of the band puts on, but jesus christ, cameron winters voice is insufferable, adjacent to julian casablanca in many cases to me.
shoegaze... and peak pop...? magdalena bay you spoil me
album is pretty good, minus the jane remover song. i am THOROUGHLY disappointed in it, but that's less so Danny. also don't understand the green light hatred.
good shit danny, but the singles carried unfortunately.
we ain't making it out the AMV allegations with this one. subtracting from that, a really good piece of disco-pop. scissors sisters haven't failed me, but admittedly the album is known for I Don't Feel Like Dancin and I Can't Decide.
mr. gibbard cannot fail me, whether on a solo project, collaborating with other artists, dcab, the postal service, anything he makes is peak to me.
