Issues - Beautiful Oblivion
70

Guilty pleasure music

Genesis Owusu - REDSTAR WU & THE WORLDWIDE SCOURGE
70

The first half of this album was absolutely wonderful. The back half doesn’t feel as cohesive and is jut a step below that front half, but overall a good listen.

Hen Ogledd - DISCOMBOBULATED
75

This was chill, unique.

Peaches - No Lube So Rude
65

fun if you're okay with incredibly horny lyrics

New Found Glory - Listen Up!
75

I had fun with this, the positive vibes were great.

MOTHICA - Somewhere In Between
60

I mean it’s well produced but it’s also just one in a hundred other pop metal bands sounding the same. Hopefully she goes back to more of her roots after this fun side quest.

Static Dress - Rouge Carpet Disaster
95

This is easily one of the best bands to come up in the rock scene in the last 5 years

Trash Boat - Even If I Never Get There
65

This is a great return to form for them. Nothing groundbreaking, but enjoyable.

Labrinth - COSMIC OPERA ACT I
70

Maybe it’s the novelty of it but I had fun with this.

Joyce Manor - I Used to Go to This Bar
55

There’s a lot I enjoy here, the country influence is fun, but it’s so short. It feels like every song ends before it can really flourish besides a couple standouts. If the songs had just a little more to them, this could be an amazing album.

Poppy - Empty Hands
65

It may be "generic" but it's really well produced. Bring Me The Horizon fans will probably like this (the lyrics are less cringe than some BMTH songs).

Crystal Lake - The Weight of Sound
NR

It's middle of the road modern metalcore. It hits hard but is overall not entirely interesting.

Neck Deep - The Peace and the Panic
90

It's a toss up between this and Lifes Not Out to Get You for my favorite pop punk album of all time.

Good Terms - Burnout
95

This album just feels like it was made to hit everything I love. There are fun riffs, catchy choruses, both heavier and lighter easycore sounds-what more can I ask for?

Hayley Williams - Ego Death At A Bachelorette Party
65

I don't know what I am missing with all of these critic reviews, because every track felt incredibly safe and underwhelming. Don't get me wrong, the music is fine, but I am a little shocked this sits at #2 for 2025 releases.

Cavetown - Running With Scissors
70

Overall a fun "internet" sounding hyperpop album. underscores influence and production is very apparent on some tracks (e.g., Reaper).
