The album is way too focused on theatrics in my opinion, at times i feel like im listening to a stripped down and purely transitionary post rock build up on a lot of these tracks. The songs are produced well, however almost too clean and sterile while there are usually short seconds of interesting moments that save the tracks that are built up too. I’ve heard the same song too many times. Can we like stop doing this thing where an underground sound comes mainstream and million mediocre copies spawn in out of nowhere. Fimiguerro, YT and Jim Legxacy are all the same trendhopping people making the same boring music and its just them using on old 1c era jerk beats. The children yearn for Esdeekid and Phreshboy swag, there is so much more coming out of this scene that is actually fresh and interesting, this isnt it.

You can’t say it’s bad, because it’s not bad, but it’s not good either. There’s nothing that particularly interesting about his production choices. It feels as if a bunch of JL96 throwaways got churned out through a palatable pop conversion machine.

The OPN cuts are great, the outro to terminator ... read more
