After Gud's return with his collab with Rx Papi on Foreign Exchange, he returned under a whole new alias with Rooster and the fittingly titled Rooster Debut. No offense to Gud whatsoever but he feels like Walmart Lucki that does his own production, and I can totally be down for that if his voice was more appealing overall. The freshest thing to come from the sadboys camp in a while. Even if you don’t love it, it’s at least interesting.
Gud's solo work can be as good as his producing skills, and this debut EP is a prime example of what I'm talking about. The instrumentals still are ethereal, and his rapping is weird but catchy. Overall enjoyable, short listen
